Faculty Development Program on SEM

Introduction

FDP (Faculty Development Program) on “Structural Equation Modelling using RStudio -Enrich your Publications”
TAPMI is proud to host a FDP (Faculty Development Program) on SEM (Structured Equation Modelling) using R Studio on October 7-8, 2017. SEM has emerged as one of the most powerful approach/tools to look at relationships between data.

The program will be carried out as a workshop by Dr.Kartikeya P. Bolar, an Editorial Board member and Reviewer of Journal of Internet Banking and Commerce, using hands on lab sessions with valid data sets and RStudio. He has 14 years of Academic and Research experience. His Research interests include E-commerce Diffusion, Data Mining, Business Analytics and Technology Adoption. The program is open to Faculty Members and Research Scholars.

Why Structured Equation Modelling (SEM)?

Consider a situation where a series of dependent-independent relationships are examined simultaneously or a situation where the validity of the measure has to be established. These situations are typical in research in most disciplines like psychology, marketing, organizational and information systems research. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) provides you the power to analyze such situations.  In research publications use of SEM is considered to be the epitome of rigor.

Learning Outcomes of the Program

The Programme shall be carried out in a workshop mode using hands on lab sessions with valid data sets and RStudio.  After attending the program, the participant will be able to

1. Create structural and measurement models using RStudio

2. Determine the reliability and validity of the constructs

3. Analyze the structural relationships between the constructs

4. Integrate and post the results of the analysis appropriately in a research paper
