Workshop-ML and Social Media Analytics
The workshop aims to introduce the field of business analytics that is based on the use of data to develop statistical and machine learning models to support decision-making. Consistently, wealth of data is produced on social media by industries and businesses. Data now has become an important factor for production, along with labour and capital. There is also a need for people with deep analytical skills and know-how to make effective business decisions. Pedagogy: Participants will be exposed to hands-on analytical techniques on real-world datasets using plug and play approaches on software like R and Python. In addition to these, the facilitator would user-friendly web applications and discuss required concepts through caselets or use-cases to provide conceptual framework or templates that would aid participants in data analysis and generating insights.
