“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest. And so, the HR Forum decided to invest in HRiday”. People are the lifelines of any organisation and HR is the heart. As prospective CHROs, students need to be adept with the latest trends and practices in organisations across industries. HRiday, the brainchild of the HR Forum is an attempt to tap into the need to keep enriching our knowledge in this field. The introduction of the pioneer HR batch and the absence of a formal newsletter in the field of HR further gave the forum an impetus to take this forward. The magazine has been designed to cater to not just the HR cohort but to all the students, faculty and staff members of the institute. The HR Forum believes that everyone entering the corporate world, irrespective of their specialisation and career path will have to interact with HR managers on a continual basis. This magazine will throw light on the field of HR and give the readers a better understanding of the field. Inspired by the pioneering HR batch, the first edition of the magazine includes a small interaction with the initiators of the program. Apart from covering the latest trends, successful HR practices in organisations, HR concepts have been explained through creative ways (like movies for this edition). HRiday also features conversations with CHROs
through the HR Saga. It provides a platform to the prospective HR managers to showcase their take on current HR trends through student articles. Also, it challenges the readers to assess their HRQ- HR Quotient through the puzzles.
The magazine was launched by our esteemed Director, Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan, who presented the first issue to the guests, Mr Ganesh Chella and Mr V.J. Rao, HR veterans and authors of the book "HR Here and Now". Prof. Srinivasan Tatachari, Chairperson PGDM-HR program at TAPMI, HR Faculty at TAPMI and students were part of the launch ceremony.
The HR Forum looks forward to bigger and better prospects for Hriday by making it the most sought-after student- driven HR magazine not only within TAPMI but across B-Schools in India. The inquisitive readers will get their hands on the subsequent editions every quarter.
