Workshop on Machine Learning in HR Analytics with Orange Data Mining and JASP

- Session 1:
- Topics: Introduction to Orange, Data Import and Preprocessing, Text Mining in HR, Visual Analytics, Machine Learning Model Building and Evaluation
- Activities: Hands-on experience in importing and preprocessing HR datasets, followed by an introduction to text mining and visual analytics techniques.
- Session 2:
- Topics: Introduction to Machine Learning Techniques, Understanding HR Classification Problems, Exploration of Machine Learning Algorithms
- Activities: Hands-On application with JASP Software, case studies, and discussion of best practices in HR analytics.

Dr. Kartikeya P.Bolar (Associate Professor,TAPMI)
Dr. Kartikeya P. Bolar, an Associate Professor at TAPMI, brings a wealth of twenty years of academic and research experience. A former Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Toledo, Ohio, Dr Bolar has a publication portfolio that spans prestigious ABDC-listed journals. He has led workshops on Structural Equation Modeling, Research Methods, and Business Analytics and has presented at international and national conferences, showcasing his expertise in areas like e-commerce diffusion and data mining. His adeptness in business analytics and technology adoption, combined with his research in machine learning, particularly positions him as an expert resource for workshops on machine learning applications in HR Analytics. Dr. Bolar’s ability to translate complex data-driven insights into strategic HR solutions makes him an invaluable contributor to any discourse at the intersection of these emerging fields.
Dr. Vinit Ghosh (AssistantProfessor, TAPMI)
Dr. Vinit Ghosh has completed his PhD in OB/HR from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati. Vinit has worked for over 8 years in various multinational firms, such as TCS, Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS), and HCL Technologies as a business process management consultant. His research has been published in The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development International, Journal of Environmental Management, to name a few. He has been teaching people analytics for the past 4 years and has successfully taken courses at Goa Institute of Management, IIM Bodhgaya and IIM Jammu. He has also designed and delivered executive trainings on HR/people analytics.
